In het midden van de 19e eeuw, in een tijdperk van snelle technologische vooruitgang, beleeft de jonge Jules Verne samen met zijn vrienden – Nemo, Sam, Barbicane, Philea en Lindebrock – avonturen vol uitvindingen en wonderlijke technologieën. Gedreven door zijn grenzeloze fantasie, worden deze avonturen de inspiratie voor de grootse verhalen waarmee hij later wereldberoemd zal worden.
