De dunne lijn tussen zonsondergang en nacht heeft mij altijd al gefascineerd. Voorbij het `gouden uur’ wordt het voor mij pas interessant.  In deze serie onderzoek ik de drie fases na zonsondergang: de `civil dusk’ waarbij men zich nog zonder artificieel licht kan bewegen, de ‘nautical dusk’ waarbij de eerste sterren verschijnen en de straatverlichting aangaat en tot slot de ‘astronomical dusk’ waarin de duisternis domineert en er slechts nog een glimp te zien is van het daglicht.

The thin line between sunset and night has always fascinated me. Beyond the 'golden hour', things only get interesting for me. In this series, I investigate the three phases after sunset: the 'civil dusk, where people can still move without artificial light; the 'nautical dusk, where the first stars appear and the street lights turn on; and finally, the 'astronomical dusk' in which the darkness dominates and only a glimpse of daylight remains.
